Today, I have four fabulous kids books to share with all of you. I've been a fan of Barron's Educational books for a long time so it didn't surprise me when I received these fun remarkable activity books.
Pixel Coloring Animals by Dan Crisp

These challenging activities are perfect on afternoons, on holidays, at the doctor's office, or whenever you hear "I'm bored!" (Ages 7 and older)
In Emilee's opinion:
This was my son's favorite book out of the four. It kept him busy for hours and all he needed were crayons. It was the perfect activity book for him. He used it at church as well as a cheerleading competition which he thought was very boring. So, in my mind, this was the greatest book created. It was fairly easy too. There were instructions on how to use the book such as "choose a numbered square to color, then use the key to match the number to the color. Next, color the square with a matching pencil, pen, or crayon." There were answers at the end of the book as well as Did you know question on each page. An example, "Did you know that when this insect is threatened, it produces a sticky, yellow liquid that comes out of its knees. This liquid gives them a bad taste, which helps to keep away any predators." It is called a ladybird or ladybug to Americans. Overall, I was impressed with Pixel Coloring Animals. Hope Dan Crisp publish a similar book.

Mind-Boggling Maze Games was a different than the other maze games I've done. Each maze had a little hint or riddle to help one figure out how to get to the finish. Also, each maze had one to three stars depending on its difficulty. If you get stuck, there are clues and answers at the end of the book. I loved the illustrations and overall it was creative.

In Emilee's opinion:
Labyrinth was a collection of puzzles that required you to collect objects in order. There were instructions on each page, multiple routes, tips, and solutions. This book was amazingly fun. I found it easiest to use my finger to navigate through so I didn't have to erase any mistakes. Each page was a new adventure and sometimes it felt like I was traveling from one place to the next. Overall, I was impressed with each maze.

Simon Ward is on a role with these fun maze books. Mazecraft Adventure was my favorite. It included characters such as Indiana Bones, Astro Mouse, Kazam, Pongo and others. It also had instructions on each page to collect different treasures, supplies and precious items. The main goal was to make your way to the finish arrow with all of the treasures. It was very fun and felt like a video game. So, if you are tired of your kids playing on electronics, check out Mazecraft Adventure because it was very similar and will be better in the long run. And of course, this book included answers which Ace McDanger called, "Expedition Successful." Overall, I loved this book the best and thought it was the perfect activity book to bring on long journeys. You may find yourself completing the mazes before your child has a chance.
