Co-Operation Store
Growing up, our mom created the Co-operation store to use on road-trips. She told us if we behaved for one hour, we earned a dollar (paper money). We could either keep our money or spend it at the “store.” The Co-operation store had a variety of prizes including books, coloring activities, gum, tic-tacs, etc.
If you are traveling during Conference weekend, use the Co-operation store to encourage good behavior while listening in the car:
1. Purchase a trunk organizer for holding prizes.
2. Print FREE CTR dollar bills (http://sweetlymadejustforyou.com/product/ctr-dollar-bills/).
3. Purchase a few prizes, such as coloring books, candy, gum, crayons, puzzles, toy cars, dolls, stuffed animals, travel games.
4. At each hour, children receive a dollar bill according to their behavior
5. Children purchase a prize or save their money for the next hour.
Besides road trips, this could be used generally when children cooperate at home, or as you watch general conference on TV.
