Two weeks ago, I introduced a tv series/book/movie called, When Calls the Heart. I asked my sponsor if he had any other DVD's and luckily he sent me, When Calls the Heart-Lost and Found. I was thrilled and watched it right away. If you haven't watched any of them, check out the Hallmark channel.
About:
When Calls the heart: Lost and Found tells the captivating story of Elizabeth Thatcher, a young teacher accustomed to her high society life, who receives her first classroom assignment in Coal Valley, a small coal mining town where life is simple, but often fraught with challenges. Lori Loughlin plays Abigail Stanton, a wife and mother whose husband, the foreman of the mine, along with a dozen other miners, has just been killed in an explosion. The newly widowed women find their faith is tested when they must go to work in the mines to keep a roof over their heads. Elizabeth charms most everyone in Coal Valley, except Constable Jack Thornton (Lissing) who believes Thatcher's wealthy father has doomed the lawman's career by insisting he be assigned in town to protect the shipping magnate's daughter. Set against the wild canvas of a 19th century coal town, Elizabeth will have to learn the ways of the frontier if she wishes to thrive in the rural west on her own.
In my opinion:
So, I'm sort of out of order with these movies but it wasn't confusing. Again, I enjoyed When Calls the Heart-Lost and Found and wish I had the Hallmark Channel to watch the tv series. I will own it one day. When Calls the Heart is captivating and charming and I loved every second that I watched.
The cast faced lots of challenges and the women had to step it up to keep their homes. I felt bad for Elizabeth because she came up with a plan that only backfired. In the end, things worked out and you will have to watch to find out how. Again, I loved the characters and was drawn into the story. It has great family values and is a good clean show. I wish all tv shows were like it. I definitely recommend When Calls the Heart-Lost and Found.
