I'm excited to share with you another wonderful book called,

As some of you may know, I served a mission in the Detroit, Michigan Mission years ago. Sister Scott (Stacy Henrie) also served in the same mission but I never got to be companions with her. However, I did go on a few splits with her. She was a remarkable missionary and I look up to her. I was excited to find out about her first book, Lady Outlaw (which I haven't read yet). This year, Hope at Dawn was published so I asked Stacy if I could review it and she said, "YES."

In my opinion:

Well, it didn't surprise me that I enjoyed Hope at Dawn because I personally know the author. I was honored to receive an autographed book by Stacy. She wrote,
"Emilee, look on the heart." The book was based on looking beyond the outside beauty and believing. A few things I liked about the book were the characters were real.  At first, it felt like a fairy tale when the two main characters met for the first time. But, then we met them and understood what they were going through. Livy and Fredrick had real life problems in the 1900's. They quickly learned how to deal with their trials and challenges. I definitely related and know we can get through the challenges we face in today's society. As long as we never stop believing...

I also liked how the story captured my attention right away. I could disappear for a few hours into Stacy's story. I felt like I was one of the characters that helped Livy fight her battles.  I'm excited to read the next book in the Of Love and War Series. It is coming December 16th, 2014 so be sure to mark your calendar. I only wish that it had the same characters. However, I'm sure it will be amazing. I enjoyed reading Hope at Dawn and know that each of you will love it as well.
