Jacob T. Marley by R. William Bennett {Written by Emilee}

The prequel to the most famous Christmas story in history has arrived.  Jacob T. Marley
takes us into the life of a well-known ghost
and opens the world of possibilities offered in the first sentence of A Christmas Carol, “Marley was dead, to begin with.”
this the beginning? Scrooge’s old business partner, the ghost who
started the Christmas transformation, is back to tell his story.

“Marley was dead to begin with . . .”

These chillingly familiar words begin the classic Christmas tale of
remorse and redemption in A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens.
Now R. William Bennett rewinds the story and focuses the spotlight
on Scrooge’s miserly business partner, Jacob T. Marley, who was allowed
to return as a ghost to warn Scrooge away from his ill-fated
path. Why was Marley allowed to return? And why hadn’t he been
given the same chance as Ebenezer Scrooge?

Or had he?

Written with a voice reminiscent of Dickens, Jacob T. Marley is a masterfully crafted story of remorse and redemption, sure to become a Christmas favorite.

About the author:

R. William (Bill) Bennett
up on the Jersey shore and in Connecticut. He and his wife, Loree, are
the parents of four children, and they reside at the base of the Rocky
Mountains in
Alpine, Utah.

 In my opinion:

Jacob T. Marley was a remarkable story and I’m so glad I was able to read it. I wasn’t familiar with Jacob so it was fun to read about him. I always thought Scrooge was the only one with a bitter heart but Marley went through similar life experiences. However, it was nice to know that one can change their heart and be forgiven for the mistakes they made.

I also loved how A Christmas Carol was included to bring the entire story together. I highly enjoyed reading Jacob T. Marley and recommend it to anyone. It was definitely a story of remorse and redemption that anyone would appreciate.
